Almar Latour is a publisher, journalist and media executive who, since 2020, has served as publisher of The Wall Street Journal and CEO of Dow Jones, the world’s foremost provider of business news and information. Latour began his storied career as an intern at The Chautauquan Daily; he now returns to the Institution to open a week on "The State of Believing" with a discussion of the role that leading news organizations can play in building and preserving public trust at a time when attitudes toward the media can range from skepticism to outright disbelief.
