Randall Balmer is an Episcopal priest, the John Phillips Professor in Religion at Dartmouth College, and a prize-winning historian whose work examines religion in America. The author of 18 books, including Bad Faith: Race and the Rise of the Religious Right, Redeemer: The Life of Jimmy Carter and America’s Best Idea: The Separation of Church and State, Balmer brings deep historical insight to conversations about faith, politics and public life.
