Meditation for Grounding and Prescencing

This series will use breathing and body-based awareness to calm the nervous system and orient to the present. Each session will begin with short instruction followed by a guided meditation. Techniques shared in these sessions are informed by Vipassana meditation, yogic approaches, and somatic approaches. Science-based practices to cue the nervous system for calm will also be shared. This series is open to individuals wishing to try meditation for the first time as well as experienced individuals wishing to practice in a group. Meghan Collins is Certified Meditation Teacher.
Meghan Collins
M.Sc. in Environmental Science (Victoria University of Wellington) and BA&Sc in Environmental Science (McGill University). Fifteen years' experience in research, teaching, and practice of science communication. Certified Meditation Instructor through the Aura Wellness Institute.
