Deconstructs and demystifies the novel-writing process for struggling and/or aspiring writers. You'll learn how to stay organized, write in the voice of the other genders, the art of rewriting, and how to overcome your writing and marketing fears. By week’s end you'll be prepared to begin work on a novel and will be equipped with the skills to perfect it. There will be time for writing and being critiqued.

John DeDakis
Award-winning novelist John DeDakis is a former editor on CNN's "The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer." DeDakis is the author of six novels in the Lark Chadwick mystery-suspense-thriller series. His most recent novel, Enemies Domestic, is a political thriller that takes place when abortion is a crime and a dictator becomes president. DeDakis, a former White House correspondent, is a writing coach, manuscript editor, and regularly teaches novel writing at Chautauqua and at literary centers, and writers’ conferences around the country. He is also the host of the live video podcast “One-to-One” on Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube. He has been an adjunct journalism professor at the University of Maryland-College Park, and at American University in Washington, D.C. Website: www.johndedakis.com
