Six remarkable women have served on the Supreme Court in the last 45 years, changing the face of the Supreme Court and influencing the course of American law. Women now outnumber men in attending law schools. We’ll discuss the accomplishments, ideas, and stories of these fascinating six women jurists and evaluate their legacies and contributions.
Jeffrey Wood
B.A., The College of William & Mary; J.D., Northwestern School of Law. An attorney and writer, he previously worked on the legal staff of financial institutions. He has led ten Special Studies classes at Chautauqua, on the Supreme Court, the Electoral College, literature, censorship, and freedom of religion. At his parish in Chicago, he has led monthly discussions on classic spiritual writings since 2020.
