This practical, hands-on, flexible workshop focuses on the tools you need to write your thriller/suspense/mystery novel. We’ll discuss plot structure, creating believable characters, dialogue, setting, POV, voice, avoiding writer’s block, and much more. Bring ideas and first chapters if you have them; expect homework. By the end of this seminar, you’ll be ready for NaNoWriMo in November when you can put it all together and finish a draft of your book.

Ellen Crosby
Ellen Crosby is the author of 18 mystery novels; Deeds Left Undone, her most recent book, is the 13th book in a mystery series set in a vineyard in Virginia and will be out in August, 2025.
