Materials List
Hosted by farmer and owner, Fred Johnson and Winemaker Jeff Murphy. Learn about this region’s special Germanic micro-climate and how it permits Johnson Estate to grow high-quality Riesling grapes, as they do in Germany. This special tasting includes Johnson Estate’s four award-winning Rieslings – from very dry to sweet. Then sample two “mystery” wines from Germany and Austria to learn about the differences and similarities amongst them. Tastings include Black Locust Riesling, Dry Riesling, Semi-Dry Riesling, and Sweet Riesling as well as thoughtfully selected food pairings to each of the wines.
