Description
Instructor
In this session, we will study maritime texts-- both religious/sacred and secular-- in order to examine God's relationship to The Deep (i.e. the ocean, water, etc.). Is the ocean primordial? Is it everlasting? What is its role before, during and after humanity's time on this earth (at least in its current state)? We will also discuss humanity's role in relation to the sea. Texts for this session will be provided; we will prioritize discussion over lecture.
