During the Chautauqua Season, recreation memberships and registrations will be taken by phone or on location. Phone numbers for each facility are listed with their descriptions below.
The Chautauqua Tennis Center (mid-May to mid-October) offers eight Har-Tru tennis courts located on the Turner Community Center recreation campus. The fast-dry surface is clay-like, gives a true bounce, and is gentle on the players. Two courts are illuminated for night play. Member benefits include free daily court fees, reduced rates for lessons and tournaments, complimentary use of ball machine (subject to availability) and discounts on selected merchandise. Weekend and season weekend memberships are also available. Call for general information about private and group lessons, tournaments, clinics, junior programs and special events.
Chautauqua Golf Club
Honoring a golfing tradition since 1896 the Chautauqua Golf Club presents quality, professional service and the challenge of 36 championship holes. Both the Lake and the Hill Course have received four-star ratings from Golf Digest magazine. Become a member or book your daily fees!
Club membership includes greens fees and use of the Learning Center — a complete teaching and practice facility
Golf Learning Center
The Learning Center is a a complete teaching and practice facility with unlimited range balls. Learning Center Membership may be purchased on its own or as part of a Golf membership.
Chautauqua Institution provides two fitness facilities. Chautauqua Health & Fitness inside the Turner Community Center is open year-round. During the season, a second facility is available at Heinz Beach. Both sites are dedicated to personal exercise, health and wellness, and are equipped with a variety of cardiovascular, strength-training, and free-weight equipment. Short and long-term fitness center memberships are available and include complimentary access to the Turner indoor pool. Separate pool memberships are also available. Members must be at least 14 years of age. Personal Trainers, Pilates Reformer Trainers, Swim Instructors and a Nutrition Consultant are available by appointment. Additional fees apply.
Boat Mooring & Registration
Chautauqua Institution offers rental slip, ramp and buoy mooring in an assigned space. Vessels moored at an Institution or private dock are required to purchase and display a current registration sticker. The mooring rental period must match the dates on an accompanying gate pass.
Slip or ramp assignments for Institution-owned docks are subject to registration fee and a mooring fee and are billed separately on receipt.
- Mooring Renewals and Reassignments must be purchased before March 13.

Sailing Center Rentals & Instruction (open in summer 2022)
Chautauqua's Sailing Department, under the leadership of Kirk Kelly, presents a comprehensive curriculum of one-week sailing courses. The courses have been carefully designed to advance the sailing skills of all - youth, adult and novice to advanced sailors.

The Chautauqua Sports Club offers a wide variety of outdoor recreational and leisure activities for the 2021 summer season, including pontoon boat, kayak, stand up paddleboard, canoe, and paddleboat rentals. Guided kayak tours, sunrise kayak/SUP events, shuffleboard, lawn bowling, outdoor ping pong, softball, fishing, Beach-to-Beach Color Sprint, and our popular annual Old First Night Run/Walk are among the offerings.
